I use this a lot....so much infact that I have incorporated it into work and as my main homepage and have others using it as well. I decided that I needed more flexibility for usage scenarios, so I converted it into asp running a backend database. It is now complete dynamic (no static content).
Main page: www.subkynx.com (This page is still the original page using the source.js and script.js files)
Dynamic content is accomplished by adding a querystring, like so:
A: by Category ID.
www.sublynx.com/?catid=4 - for my daughters computer (homepage)
www.sublynx.com/?catid=6 - for work
B: by User ID:
Other dynamic items are auto redirect and search engines:
www.sublynx.com/?catid=6&s… - changes the default search from bing to google
www.sublynx.com/?catid=6&searc… - redirects page to search engine within the allotted seconds
I even thought of developing so that the site is so dynamic it can customize the tiles as well...
I am in the process of developing a login page that will generate a user hash instead of an ID, then it can be saved as a homepage without ever logging in as long as know the hash value.
The config page is not working yet, as it needs to built for the database.
Hopefully I got the copyright info right. Please let me know if I'm missing something.
